Invisible thread (or nylon monofilament) is one of those ‘marmite’ sewing materials .You either love it or hate it !
It’s ideal for hiding stitches, repairs, and embellishment techniques like appliqué, but because it doesn’t behave like normal thread, some sewists find it tough to use.
Invisible thread can be used on the machine, but usually only on the top thread. It’s useful for tricky hand sewing projects. We recommend it for attaching the frame in our vintage-style, clip frame purse Kit because it’s a fiddly job and the stitches just disappear over the metal.
