Description

The traditional method for making batik fabric is known as wax-resistant dyeing. Wax is applied to create a pattern and then the fabric is dyed, with the waxed areas staying the original colour. This process can be repeated several times to create multiple layers of colour, creating unique designs and patterns throughout the cloth. Once completed, the wax is melted away to reveal the final colours.
