Start your own collection of pocket sized embroideries with this Stitchscape Pebble kit, designed by Beth Power of Dotty Textiles, guaranteed to be unique to you and a great way to use up your small stash scraps once you’ve caught the pebble bug.
In each kit you should have enough to make two small sized pebbles AND one large pebble. (No actual pebbles are harmed in the making of these Stitchscape ones- they are purely decorative and are not designed to be paperweights or similar.)

The kit includes a backing calico square, seven strips of colour co-ordinating fabrics, seven matching Anchor/DMC threads (approx 12.5 metres in total), cream felt and polyester toy stuffing, but you will need to have to hand a 15cm hoop (add one to your basket, here), cereal cardboard (or similar thickness), sewing cotton, a selection of different eyed sewing needles and scissors.

Within your detailed instruction booklet are the templates for the pebbles which can be traced onto your fabric as well as details of how to create favourite Stitchscape stitches and different layouts you could use for tried and tested pebble combinations.

Most of these kits will only ever have the same selection of fabrics and threads twice, and may even be a complete one-off combination which helps to make your pebbles truly unique! These also make fabulous presents for friends and family who are up for a challenge!

Once the embroidery is completed, you can either frame it in the hoop or mount it in a beautiful frame to finish the piece off.
