help you shop with us online. They are also used to tailor the products and services offered and advertised to you,

We do not use cookies to collect or record information on your name, address or other contact details.

Mailing Lists
If you subscribe to our e-newsletter, we will collect some personal data to enable us to tell you about exciting new
products, discounts and news from The-Stitchery Shop Ltd that you’ve asked us to tell you about. We may also use
the data to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to
check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We do not rent or trade email lists with other
organisations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and
clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information,
please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the
unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing us.
Purchasing
We only keep your personal details to be able to to process your order; such as your name, e-mail address, billing
and delivery address. No credit card details are stored or managed by The-Stitchery Shop, when paying online for
items you do this via the Stripe interface which handles all the credit card information in conjunction with your
bank. Once Stripe has processed the card, successful or un-successful transaction details are sent back to
The-Stitchery Shop, these notifications again do not include credit card details.
Unless otherwise stated, the goods featured on this website are only available for delivery within the United
Kingdom, or in relation to delivery from the United Kingdom.
You are solely responsible for evaluating the fitness for a particular purpose of any products or information that
may be available through this site.
Out of Stock
Unfortunately, as a bricks and mortar shop, we do experience theft and human error so may not have the exact
product quantities shown on our website. If we don’t have the goods that you have ordered and paid for, we will
email you to let you know this and refund the missing item/s or offer a replacement option.
Delivery Information
FREE collection from store when ordering online. You will receive an email to notify you that your order is ready to
collect. Please allow 1-3 working days.
FREE DELIVERY on orders OVER £50. Orders that qualify for free postage will be sent with Royal Mail 2nd class
post unless you select and pay for an alternative postage option.
For orders valued under £50, the delivery charge includes postage and packing and is based on weight AND parcel
size as per current Royal Mail formats plus a small packing charge. You can select Standard 1st class or Standard
2nd class delivery and the total delivery price will be calculated at checkout.
Our Returns Policy
Please do not return any goods without prior agreement. Please email us first on info@the-stitchery.co.uk stating
your name and order number and the reasons why you want to return the goods. If you have changed your mind
about your in store purchase, we will accept most* unused, unwanted and undamaged goods in their original retail
packaging so long as they are returned to us within 10 working days. Under Distance Selling Regulations you have
14 days from receipt to let us know that you wish to return an online purchase.
When returning goods to us, please include your name and the invoice/delivery advice number with the item.
Please note that we will not refund your postage in either direction; from us or back to us unless it is our mistake
or the goods are faulty. If you need any help on returning product please email us.
*In line with our long established Refund and Exchange policy in our retail store there are some goods that we do not
take back into stock; these are CUT items of fabric and haberdashery, knitting and sewing patterns, cushion inserts,
knitting or macramé yarn, or any threads (embroidery skeins or Gutermann reels).
Unfortunately we have to protect ourselves and our customers from those who might copy patterns and return
them, who take a swatch or a metre or two of yarn then return it, or who might have exposed some absorbent
products to strong odours, allergy triggers or smoke that could be harmful to the next person who purchases the
item.
Faulty goods
We will of course refund or exchange faulty goods and any return postage. Please do not return any goods without
prior agreement, but email us at info@the-stitchery.co.uk to arrange.
